The
comedy of today is certainly a lot different than it was even
five years ago. It's more personal, and more about getting the
person inside to appear on stage. Our comics each have decades
of time on stage, and have seen it all. We don't tell you how
WE do comedy- we tell you how YOU can do it.
Our
5 week sessions are designed to help you buld a 3 minute set.
Or, if you are at a more advanced stage in your career, we can
help you develop your act so it is more appealing to those who
book Television, Movies, College, or even help you design your
OWN tour. There is now a new way to tour- the non-club gig. We
can help you think outside of the box, and go beyond the regular
club- it IS about marketing YOU.
Just
want to be funny at parties? Okay, we can help you there, too.
Remember, the classes are small, and catered to YOU. Each class
ends with a paid cabaret show, and each student gets his or her
DVD of the performance. That's right, you're treated like a professional.
You get a gig that can go on a resume.

Austin- Stand-Up Comedy 101
So you want to be a stand up? Do your friends think you are funny,
but you haven't thought about going on stage before? Do you think
you would like to be a comedian, but aren't sure where to start?
Do you want to learn the basics, and then perform what you learn
in front of a PAID audience? Then sign on up! We're ready to show
you the power YOU have to make a crowd yours.

to handle a microphone and get over stage jitters
* Learn how to write your OWN material, and make it sound true

at your best at any showcase

Class is limited
to 12 students per session. $350 per student, per session. Materials
required include- Notebook & pen, audio recorder or video
recorder, blank DVD for final session. Mondays at 3pm. Be prepared
to perform the first day of class!
Cathe
B- Stand-Up for Advanced Students
So you've been on the road already but not getting gigs you think
you deserve. You have played on stage for years but just can't
seem to get the right material which puts you on top of your game.
If you have at least 10 minutes of your own material, and have
worked at least 2 years as a comedian, this is YOUR class. If
you are tired of just doing open mic shows and really want to
build your reputation, then you need to learn why it is you have
been your own road block. Cathe will help you:
* GET your
material sounding more true to your stage personna
* AIDE you in discovering what gigs will best suit YOUR material
* HELP you learn what material you have will get you a showcase
at larger clubs, or college venues
* CREATE your own venues and put you on the path of thinking outside
of the box for better pay, and long term career goals
Class is limited to 12 students per session. $350 per student,
